Caramel is just one of those comfort desserts for me. It is super satisfying. This recipe is a copy cat of O’Charleys Caramel Pie. After going for free pie only to find out they were out of my beloved pie, i decided to start making my own. Caramel Pie is super easy to make but does take some time. They do sell Sweetened Condensed Milk that has already been turned into Caramel if you are short on time, but making from Scratch is also super good.

Ingredients:

1 large graham cracker pie crust
2 cans sweetened condensed milk
1 8 ounce container of Cool Whip
1 small package chopped pecans
1 small package mini chocolate chips

Directions:

Peel Paper from cans of Sweetened Condensed Milk, Place cans on their side in a large pot and cover completely with cold water

Slowly bring pot to rolling boil. Boil for 3 hours, turning cans every 30 minutes.

Allow cans to cool for one hour.

Open cans of milk and spread into pie pan, cover with cool whip.

Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips over the top. Refrigerate for 8 hours.

Enjoy.
