Growing up, I always participated in paid product surveys. A business is coming out with a new product and wants testers. You test and get paid. How cool is that. Sometimes even a free gift. The surveys I grew up taking took about an hour but paid between $25-$100. Not bad right. FREE MONEY.
When I heard about Product Report Card, I was extremely excited to make the extra money. After all, I had just left my corporate job and could maybe take a survey once a week or so for some extra money.
I was certainly under the impression from other posts that I had read that It would be easy money.
According to Product Report Card – they request you to complete a registration and you will begin receiving paid survey invitations via email within 24 hours. Earn Amazon gift codes or free products for each online survey you complete.
I started taking surveys approximately 4 months ago. When you sign up, you are required to set up a profile. This involves providing a lot of information. Some of the questions did make me a little uncomfortable as they do ask for a lot of personal information just to get you started.
From the first survey I took, I realized this was not going to be a good thing and almost impossible to make any money at all.
Here are my top 5 reasons why I QUIT Product Report Card.
Most surveys make you take a 15 minute qualifying survey and then tell you you don’t qualify, therefore you are only paid .10 if anything. I have never received any amazon gift codes or free products with any of the 10 surveys I completed.Product report card requires a lot of information from you, even for studies that you are ultimately not going to qualify for.
If you do qualify the most you can make from a survey is about $2.00, although most pay about $.50. Granted, there are some surveys that pay more, but generally they are clinical trials and/or require your camera to be on.
You cannot take any money out of your account until you have reached $25.00. After 4 months, I only have $9.00
There are 58 negative reviews under the Better Business Bureau for people complaining of not being paid even after they have taken qualifying surveys. According to SiteJabber.com , Product Report card has a consumer rating of 2.44 stars indicating most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. They rank 118th among Product Review Sites.
If you are looking for Clinical Trials, this may be a good place to start, but other than that, I felt this was a waste of time.
