This is a super easy side dish made with frozen peas. I love canned vegetables. It is soo easy to just open a can and heat it up, but fresh/frozen vegetables are much more healthier and can be prepared in the same amount of time. They are also more cost effective.

No need to thaw the peas out. I love to add Vegeta, which is a type of Seasoning Salt to my Vegetables while they are cooking, but this dish is also good without it. You can use whatever size bag of peas you have on hand. I generally use a 12 ounce bag which is the smaller bag, but i have used 16 ounces before if am serving a larger crowd.

Ingredients:

2 tbsp olive oil

1/2 large onion or one small onion chopped

1 clove garlic.

12-16 ounce frozen peas

1 – 2 tablespoons of chicken broth

Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:

Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan or dutch oven over medium heat. Saute onion for approximately 5 minutes, until translucent and mostly cooked. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add Frozen peas and chicken broth. Season with Salt and Pepper. Cover and cook approximately 5-10 minutes until peas are cooked and tender.

Enjoy.
